G’day, I’m Jake. I live on the Gold Coast and enjoy an active, adventurous lifestyle and am the Founder of The Freedom Chaser blog.

I was introduced to electric bikes after joining a startup business called Quipmo, a peer-to-peer rental marketplace for action sports equipment. At the time, ebikes were becoming increasingly popular on the platform, so I wanted to see what all of the fuss was about. After getting on one, I was instantly hooked and have remained so ever since.

All of our blog posts are researched and written from scratch.  We can’t review every single electric bike in person (believe me, I’d absolutely love to!) but I do conduct extensive market research amongst my own community of manufacturers and riders as the basis of my recommendations.  It takes a long time to do this, but it means you don’t have to.
