At first glance, Abound seems suitable for couriers and delivery drivers, but this is not the case. Aventon has placed particular emphasis on making this bike as practical and useful as possible for as many people as possible. It’s definitely the best option for delivery drivers in Australia, but if you’re looking for a serious alternative to running around but feel like other e-bikes don’t offer enough storage space, then the Abound is for you.

Description

At first glance, Abound seems suitable for couriers and delivery drivers, but this is not the case. Aventon has placed particular emphasis on making this bike as practical and useful as possible for as many people as possible. It’s definitely the best option for delivery drivers in Australia, but if you’re looking for a serious alternative to running around but feel like other e-bikes don’t offer enough storage space, then the Abound is for you. Doing your weekly grocery shopping? Don’t worry, it all fits in the back. Did you receive anything from a friend nearby? That also fits. Do you take small children to school? There is also an attachment that turns the luggage rack into a stroller. What’s more, thanks to the torque sensor, suspension, and frame design, the Abound feels surprisingly like a regular electric bike, even when loaded. For the first time, it’s actually possible for some people to leave their cars at home and prefer to drive.

Features

Torque Sensor

Abound is equipped with a torque sensor that provides instant pedaling feedback and smooth, safe acceleration. This is very important as some drivers transport children, but for delivery drivers it means all goods are safe and undamaged.

Multiple Accessories

The Abound is the Swiss-Army knife of electric bikes. Thanks to its long-tailed rear storage rack and various mounting points, you can add:

  • Rear basket
  • Front rack
  • Seat pad
  • Rear handrail (for kids to hold on to)
  • Rear panniers
  • Large front storage bag
  • Large front basket
  • Duffel Bag

All of these are optional, but the Abound also comes standard with front and rear fenders, in-frame storage bags, and side rear running boards that can be used as footrests.

Full Lighting

The Abound also has standard features including in-frame storage bags, side running boards that may be used as footrests, and front and rear fenders.

Hydraulic Braking

Abound can carry 200 kg, of which 64 kg can only be carried in the luggage rack. Since the Abound can carry more weight, it is important to equip it with strong brakes. That’s why Abound comes standard with fully hydraulic disc brakes.

The Little Things Add Up

Aventon’s specialty is always its attention to detail. Small features come together to make a great electric bike. Abound is also used to this. From a “dropper” seatpost that adjusts by pulling on the handle (think office chair) instead of a quick release, to a double-leg stand that keeps the bike upright when not in use, to foldable, puncture-resistant handlebar tires. , reflective sidewalls, a removable battery, or the Aventon’s slim welded frame – no wonder the Abound is called the “SUV with pedals.”

Top of the Market

Like commercial vehicles and vans, cargo bikes are expensive. They are large and heavy, certainly less comfortable, but the engines are barely enough to support the weight they are designed for. For example, the “Dutch basket” style cargo bike with a basket in the front is one of the most popular styles in the world, but it rides like a bus. Plus, you’ll be lucky to find a “good” model for less than $4,000. Cargo bikes with a similar style to the Abound are also available, but prices start at $5,000.

This is not the case with Abound. It’s a huge improvement over most cargo bikes and available at a significantly lower price. However, the number of bicycles will not decrease. What you get is a practical, safe, versatile and incredibly well-built vehicle with a wealth of add-ons that make it a real alternative to driving.
