If you’re after a superbly constructed e-bike with excellent performance, our Trek electric bike review is a great place to start.

We’re big fans of Trek bikes, and after talking with a bunch of weekend warriors and everyday riders, it seems that a lot of you are too. So with that in mind, I set about putting together a short and sweet review on Trek’s range of electric bikes.

Trek, as you might know, is one of the most respected bike builders in the world. Operating out of the States, they have models for all price points, trails and riding styles. I’m super excited to share with you a few of my favourite Trek bikes, including the Allant+ 8, Powerfly FS 4 and Townie Go! 8D EQ.

Trek Allant+ 8 Electric Bike Review

  • Shimano 10-speed gear system
  • Long-life 500 Wh battery
  • Removable integrated battery
  • Pedal assist to 25 kilometres p/h
  • Colour display computer
  • Approx. 120+ kilometre range

As part of this Trek electric bike review, I had the good fortune to test ride the indomitable and comfortable Allant + 8.

Designed for those of you who prefer traffic-free commutes, the Allant+ 8 is a high-performance e-bike that combines style and capability.

It can take on even the steepest hills, make short work of long distances and surprise at every turn thanks to its many thoughtful features. For these reasons and more, it’s an absolute treat for day-to-day urban adventures.

It’s said that the Allant+ 8 will change your life, and after testing it out on my own daily commute, I tend to agree.

Trek Powerfly FS 4 Electric Bike Review

  • Pedal assist to 25 kilometres p/h
  • Removable 500Wh battery
  • 3-5 hours charge time
  • Approx. 85+ kilometre range
  • Integrated speed sensor

If you’re looking for a supercharged electric mountain bike, you’ve found it. The Powerfly FS 4 earns a spot on our Trek electric bike review list purely because it makes exploring the outdoor world more enjoyable!

It can tackle rugged terrain due to the Bosch drive system and plush suspension. The pedal assist is also incredibly intuitive, giving you the option to ride faster and harder on steep hills. In short, there’s always time for another go-around when it comes to the Powerfly FS 4 – a rugged trail electric mountain bike if I ever saw one!

Trek Verve+ 2 Electric Bike Review

  • Lightweight aluminium frame
  • Puncture-resistant tyres
  • 250W Bosch motor
  • Suspension seat post

Super comfortable, totally capable and fun, the Trek Verve+ 2 really is the e-bike for everyone.

It comes with a bunch of safe and practical features that make cruising around town safe and enjoyable, such as puncture-resistant tyres, bump-smoothing suspension and ergonomic grips. Plus, the upright riding position ensures you can focus on the sights and scenery around you.
